Games to Watch Out for this Year
Just got my ps3 refurbished console yesterday. Now I’m into getting my hands into it and my favorite PS3 games! Actually, this year 2011 promises to be a good year for all PlayStation 3 gamers out there as IGN already presented their top 10 games for this year. Number 10 on the list is Batman: Arkham City where the Dark Knight goes on for another adventure. Next is Rage, which is simply the newest shooter type game in the console. Number 8 goes to Team Ico’s The Last Guardian, where the creators’ reputation is enough to get you excited. Number 7 is Killzone 3 with its improved effects and new brutal melee moves. Number 6 is Dead Space 2 and its ever so reliable gore. Number 5 goes to Infamous 2 and its post apocalyptic landscape that you will surely love. Number 4 is Resistance 3, and if the last one’s quality didn’t get your attention, this one will. Little Big Planet 2 holds the number 3 spot where you simply create your own game and your own planet. Number 2 is BioWare’s Mass Effect 3, where Earth was destroyed by robots and creatures from other galaxy. The top most anticipated game for this year is Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 3, in which its predecessor has been named game of the year by IGN.com.
The Jailbreak Process
In recent months, we have been seeing a lot of stuff about jailbreaking, most specifically with Apple gadgets like iPhone, iPod Touch, etc. Recently, jailbreaking of PlayStation 3 became available where gamers can have their consoles converted for easier loading of games, storage, and downloading. Jalbreaking, for those who do not know, is a process that allows iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Apple TV, and
apparently PlayStation 3 users to gain root access to the command line of the devices’ operating system, thereby removing usage and access limitations imposed by the gadget makers. Once a gadget has been jailbroken, it will become a lot easier to download application programs, and, in the case of PS3, games. For users, it is definitely a fun way of getting what you want because there are ways to get those apps and games for free if you are techy enough. The problem relies on the obvious piracy that users and jailbreakers commit when doing this process, which is the reason why most users and jailbreakers do the process anyway. Recent news announced that Sony, makers of PlayStation consoles, will be banning those who will do such process on their consoles. It is yet to be proven, but the question roaming around right now is “will you risk it?”
