The Lord of the Tablets
The battle of tablets has started early 2010, and it still continues in this very young year of 2011. Recently, Samsung released their Galaxy Tab, which somehow took Apple’s iPad by surprise with its similar speed processor but twice the size of RAM. Like the iPad, the Galaxy Tab comes with different options for internal storage. It, however, supports up to 32GB of expandable storage, while Apple’s device is limited to the internal space only. Samsung’s tablet has two cameras: one at the back with resolution of 3.2 megapixels and another at front with 1.3 megapixel camera for video chatting; this is something that the current models of the iPad do not have. Samsung claims up to 7 hours of video playback for the Galaxy Tab, while Apple says its iPad can last up to 10 hours. The battle keeps on going, but a few days after New Year, Blackberry announced that they are releasing 4G Playbook, which has 1 GHz dual-core processor; 1 GB RAM; Wi-Fi compatibility; Bluetooth; 3 megapixel high-definition forward-facing camera; 5 megapixel high-definition rear-facing camera; complete codec support for superior media playback, creation and video calling; and micro USB and micro HDMI ports. The year is young and certainly looking good for gadget lovers everywhere.
